FM5

Definition: The FM5 is the court form on which each party sets out their position on non-court dispute resolution.

The FM5 form tells the court what you have done to try to resolve matters away from a hearing, and your views on doing so. It was introduced as part of the 2024 NCDR reforms.

It is usually filed before the first hearing. Courts can take an FM5, and any unreasonable refusal to try NCDR, into account on costs.
