Shuttle mediation

Definition: Shuttle mediation is family mediation in which the two people stay in separate rooms and the mediator moves between them.

It removes direct contact, which can help where there is high conflict or a safety concern, while still allowing the couple to negotiate through the mediator.

Shuttle mediation can happen in person, in separate rooms, or online in separate video calls. The mediator decides whether it is safe and suitable.
